Behaviour is communication.
We're here to listen.

Every behaviour tells a story. At Infinite Disability Services (IDS), we specialise in supporting people with complex behaviours across the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, and South Coast regions. As an NDIS Registered Provider, we bring deep expertise in Positive Behaviour Support to every person we work with.

Our team doesn't just respond to behaviours of concern, we look for what's driving them. We work alongside participants, families, and support networks to understand unmet needs and build real solutions. Because when you understand the "why," everything changes.

NDIS services designed for complex needs

We focus on the support that matters most. Whether you need hands-on daily support, a safe place to call home, or help staying connected to your community, we bring specialist knowledge in complex behaviour to every service we offer.

Complex Behaviour Support

Not every provider has the skills to support people with behaviours of concern. We do. Our team uses Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), an evidence-based approach that focuses on understanding behaviour, not just managing it. We develop tailored Behaviour Support Plans that respect each person's dignity, build on their strengths, and work toward a better quality of life.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Your home should feel safe. We support people with complex behaviours to live in the community through Supported Independent Living in the Illawarra. Our SDA-approved homes are designed to be comfortable, accessible, and suited to each person's needs. Every resident receives support from staff who understand complex behaviours and know how to create calm, positive environments.

Assistance with Daily Living

We help you build skills and confidence at home and in the community. Our Daily Living support goes beyond task completion, it's about growing independence over time. Whether it's personal care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, or medication support, our team works with your strengths to help you take the lead in your own life.

Social and Community Participation

Connection matters. Our Community Participation program helps people get out, try new things, and build meaningful relationships. We offer both one-on-one and group support, so you can choose what works best for you. Our staff understand that social settings can be challenging for people with complex behaviours, and they know how to make it work.

Short Term Accommodation (Respite)

Everyone needs a break sometimes. Our Short Term Accommodation gives participants a change of scenery, and gives carers the breathing room they deserve. We offer stays across partnered sites in the Illawarra and South Coast, with staff trained in complex behaviour support so families can feel confident their loved one is in good hands.

Transport

Getting from A to B shouldn't be a barrier. We run a fleet of accessible vehicles, including wheelchair-accessible vans, large-capacity vehicles (up to 10 seats), and passenger cars. All staff are trained to operate the fleet safely and support your needs during every trip. Use our transport for medical appointments, community activities, social outings, or one-off trips.

How does the NDIS support people with psychosocial disabilities?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides comprehensive support for Australians living with psychosocial disabilities, focusing on building functional capacity, independence, and meaningful community participation. Your psychosocial disability stems from the effects of mental health conditions that impact your daily functioning, not just the mental health condition itself.

Understanding family involvement in the NDIS

Family involvement sits at the heart of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), recognising that families are the foundation of support for people with disabilities. The NDIS acknowledges that families provide crucial advocacy, emotional support, and practical assistance that extends far beyond what formal services can offer. This involvement helps participants navigate complex systems, achieve their goals, and maintain meaningful connections within their communities.

What are my responsibilities as an NDIS participant?

As an NDIS participant, you have important responsibilities that help ensure you get the most from your supports while maintaining the integrity of the scheme. Understanding these responsibilities empowers you to make informed decisions and build a strong foundation for your NDIS journey. Your obligations fall into four key areas that work together to create a system based on trust, transparency, and mutual accountability.
